I'm back in LJ land!
I'm really sorry for letting down my livejournal for such a long time but I kind of lost interest in it.
So, I'm back with a brand new layout (I spent a lot of time doing it so I hope you will like it). It features the Jane Austen heroines (Elizabeth, Anne, Emma, Elinor, Marianne, Fanny, Catherine). Some of them have been played by various actresses :)

I hope you all had a great Christmas. I spent it with my family and I can say that I ate way too much^^ I've been quite spoiled too. I received some money, some dvds (The Indiana Jones trilogy, Becoming Jane,  Sarter for ten with the loveable James McAvoy, House of Mirth - a period drama with Gillian Anderson), a stuffed Panda, some novels, clothes, and the last Feist album :D

I'll try my best to catch up with your last entries. I will post more, I promise ! I have to make a post about the movies I saw recently !

Coming soon : a huge icons post (all icons I made in the past few monthes)
And I uploaded some new icons too !

GIP! Again... LOL

Marta just posted some new amazing Harry Potter-related  pieces of art. You can view them here. This girl has so much talent. I see the characters exactly like she draw them (especially Ron & Sirius^^).
The first one with Santa is so brilliant!

We have just picked what we will eat for christmas. My mum chose to cook a "chapon" (not sure about the word in english). I'd say that it's a kind of very big chicken (to not say giant!), only sold for Christmas. It's delicious! However, it will take a lot of time to cook it properly^^

I'm currently re-listening to Coldplay. I stopped listening to them for a while. I guess it depends of my mood. I still love them a lot and I wonder when they will release their next album. I also listen to the Shins a lot, I love their sound. I listened to some Snow Patrol's songs lately, and I must admit that I really like what I heard! Do you have some particular songs to rec me?

I just re-watched the last "Heroes" episodes. I can't believe we'll be able to see the 12th episode only on january, the 22th! This is so unfair ;o) l! It must be the only show that I really love and follow with attention this year. I still like Grey's Anatomy and VM though. I guess I'm kind of exigent with tv shows (I don't like Lost anymore^^). I mean, the last "big" show that I was really obsessed with was BTVS! I'm glad Joss Whedon planned to release a comic soon...
And I still have Gilmore Girls seasons 4-5-6 and 7 to catch up, that makes me incredibly happy !!

Oh, the Grey's Anatomy cast is in the current issue of "Entertainment weelky". The photoshoots are gorgeous, you can see them here. I especially love the one with Meredith & Derek ;-)

Hello!

GIP! I suppose this is a Christmas icon ;o)

Christmas in a bit less than 3 days, I can't believe it! I still have some gifts to pack, I must admit that I'm kind of clumsy, I will try to do my best so they will not look too ugly^^

Thanks to [info]lepapillon , [info]shannigansx and [info]wistful_memory for their cards! You'll probably receive mine very soon or perhaps you already get it...
To answer your question, wistful_memory, we don't really have Chistmas movies in France. I guess we don't have this tradition here. However, I'll recommand you the movie "Joyeux Noël" which was released last year. You can see what it deals with at the imdb site here. It's a beautiful and touching movie based on historical facts :)

- I already received 2 awesome christmas gifts by a very good friend of mine. She gave me the "Léon" dvd (one of my favorite movies ever!) and  a Jane Austen's biography by Claire Tomalin (surely the best written). You can see what the english edition looks like here. It's very interesting and intense. If you love Jane Austen, don't hesitate to look at it, it's full of informations about her life, personnality, family and inspirations.

Speaking of Jane Austen, this movie about her life, starring Anne Hathaway and James McAvoy, looks really promising!

This poster is gorgeous but it looks like the "Pride & Prejudice" (2005) poster a lot, doesn't it? However, I love it!!

I'll make a post about movies that I really can't wait to see in 2007 very soon :)

GIP: I have a Christmas icon...finally!

- First of all, I would like to thank [info]lepapillon for her Christmas card! This is very nice of you! And you were right, we say "joyeux Noël" in french :) You'll receive mine in the very next days :)

- If you want a Christmas card, just let a comment and I will send you one!

- [info]sweetbelle07 just posted an awesome Milo Ventimiglia picspam with hilarious captions. You can see it here!

- almost everyone at home has a cold (including the babies my mom takes care of) so I guess it will be my turn very soon...I suppose I will have to get it no matter what. Just hope I will not be ill during Christmas holidays....

- I really want to see the new Audrey Tautou's movie called "Hors de Prix"! It get pretty good critics and I love the leading cast.

Here is the synopsis if you're interested:

Jean (Gad Elmaleh), a shy server at a luxurious hotel, is mistaken for a young billionaire by Irène (Audrey Tautou), an interested adventurer. When she discovers his real identity, she flees instantly. But Jean, in love, goes out and searches for her on the Riviera. Although he quickly fails, he finishes by adopting the lifestyle of a countryman at an inn, which he loves. This new situation brings him closer to Irène who finally accepts his presence. She begins to give him advice and grows closer to him without realizing that she is falling in love...

and a cute little picture!

- I saw the last James Bond movie yesterday afternoon. I was curious about this movie even if I am not really a fan of action movies... I usually get bored easily when I watch them ;o) But I finally enjoyed it a lot!

My review is behind the cut

- I want to see Paolo Nutini live! I heard he plans to make a concert on may in France, I hope it's true! I'm currently in love with his album. There are only 10 songs but they're all really beautiful and his voice is just ...breathtaking. It makes me speechless. I'm kind of difficult concerning music, but I'm happy I found a true artist to listen :)

- I'm currently reading "I capture the castle" by Dodie Smith. I wanted to read this novel for such a long time, I'm glad that my library bought a copy of it! The story is just brillant, and the main character, Cassandra, is the best! Did you know that this book is one of JK Rowling's favorites? She has pretty good taste ^^

- I have to update my livejournal icons because some ljusers made me some very gorgeous interest icons and I have some other new ones too, including this one :)

- I still have some christmas shopping to do. It's kind of difficult to find a good gift for my mum... this is weird since last days, I found what to buy for her quite easily. I guess I have to find something original and a bit surprising...

- Christmas in a bit more than 20 days! I still have a little christmas shopping to do but I'll not complain, it's my favorite hoildays and shopping ever!
- I've been to the Galeries Lafayette yesterday and it was just crazy! This is not a surprise at all since we're on december and saturday but OMG! there were so much people!! I thought I was going to faint at a moment^^ It was too hot too, it seems that they don't knw what is air-conditionning!!

- I can't stop listening to the "Marie-Antoinette" OST, I love "Ceremony" by New Order more than all! This movie was one of my favorite of 2006 and I would like to buy the dvd. But since the movie has just been released in the US, we have to wait to get it! That's unfair ;o)

- Otherwise, I keep listening to a young scottish singer called Paolo Nutini. His voice is just amazing! I've discovered him when I saw his performance at the only good musical show of french television "Taratata". He's very talented and he's only 19, that's crazy! He has a voice that reminds me of some of  the old soul artists. Plus, he's cute (that's just a detail^^)

- I saw "The Departed" of Martin Scorcese yesterday. I liked it a lot. It's a kind of very ambitious urban thriller (not sure about the word, in french, we call these kind of movies "thrillers"). The actors are all awesome. People talk a lot about Jack Nicholson's big return in cinema and performance. He was pretty good in this "bad guy" part but in my opinion, the best of all was Leonardo Di Caprio. I think he's one of the best Hollywood actors right now. Moreover, he already has a fabulous filmography. He's perfect in all his scenes and very emotional too.

- Who's still interested in exchanging stuff from our country? If you are, you can give me a link to your amazon wishlist  by taking a look to the french amazon website :)
